Smart bumper performer Windsor Park was a hotpot to open his account under Flat rules in the concluding maiden at Gowran and duly did so with the minimum of fuss.
Pat Smullen made the running on the 2/7 favourite and he was closely attended by Golden Ticket in the 1m6f contest.
That rival couldn't live with the Dermot Weld-trained gelding when he quickened in the straight however.
Windsor Park asserted from the two furlong pole and was easing down at the line to post a two-and-a-quarter length verdict over Call Me Pj
“We've no definite plans with him but the Slan Abhaile race at Listowel may be very suitable,” said Weld afterwards.
“He has schooled and jumps well so he will go hurdling in due course.”
It was a double on the card for Weld and Smullen, who had also taken the opening maiden with Baldonnel
