Irish Derby-third Stellar Mass made it four wins from his last five starts when winning his first Group race at Leopardstown today, claiming the Group 3 Ballyroan Stakes for trainer Jim Bolger and jockey Kevin Manning.
Stellar Mass had been unsuccessful in his first seven career starts but has now recorded consecutive wins either side of his Irish Derby placing.
Following today’s battling half length win over Almela Bolger referenced the colt’s sire Sea The Stars when quipping “we are hoping we will see the stars with him - he is on an upward curve.
"We will look for something on Arc weekend for him, or he could go to York for the Great Voltigeur. He will stay in training next year."
