The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Bellewstown produced a cracking duel with Aloha Star just getting the better of Logo Hunter
From flag fall the pair battled for the lead and there was little to split them throughout the five furlong contest.
Debutant Logo Hunter appeared to be travelling better passing the two pole as Aloha Star was asked for an effort by Andrew Slattery.
The 10/11 favourite stuck to her task well though and the Fozzy Stack-trained daughter of Starspangledbanner gained a narrow advantage in the closing stages to score by half a length.
“Her experience probably told as well as the fillies allowance and claim,” said Fozzy.
“She'll get a bit further and wants it ideally. It was a sharp five in Tipperary the last day, where she was doing her best work at the end and she was doing her best work at the end there.
“We'll step her up to six somewhere but she's after winning anyway. They went hard and she kept at it well.”
