On the mark with the gambled-on Lash It On at Thurles on Thursday, Charles Byrnes (now three winners in a row with Baresi's success last Sunday too) and Rob Jones enjoyed further success when Evesham Star took the third at Wexford.
Plenty had chances at the last and the eventual victor, a point-to-point winner earlier in her career, wasn't great here. She ultimately just fended off Wells China by a head.
Evesham Star, unlike Lash It On the other day, went off an easy to back 10/1 shot as most of the action in the ring focussed on Not For Burning (4th) and Vaxalco (faded out of it rapidly in the back straight having made the running). (EM)
