Stack's Legend lasts it out in the nursery

Duck Egg Blue finished well in the naasracecourse.com Nursery Handicap but not well enough to catch the head victor, Olympic Legend (10/1).
Olympic Legend was ridden by Wayne Lordan for Tommy Stack and the Next Pension Fund Syndicate. The Choisir gelding was shedding his maiden tag here at the fifth time of asking.
Similar 'Pension Fund' silks have been a familiar sight on Stack runners before, with the likes of Nero Emperor and Van Rooney winning in them in recent years.
Olympic Legend was never far away on this occasion, and he led inside the final furlong. He was all out at the finish to hold on.
"He was idling a small bit with me and drifting out a bit to the right," said Lordan.
"He stays well. He shows a bit more pace at home and we thought he wanted a shorter trip. As he started running we started to realise it was further he wanted. He keeps going well."
