The Irish Stallions EBF Fillies Maiden was won by Tommy Stack´s Unsung Hero with Wayne Lordan in the saddle in a thrilling finish with Jim Bolger´s Shreyas to hold on by 1/2 length. The pair pulled clear of the rest by 16 lengths. Unsung Hero survived a Stewards Enquiry as the pair got quite close in the closing stages.

Fozzie Stack said afterwards, "She was due to run in April and stood on a hind joint, O´Brien & Halley veterinary practice did a great job with her. We´ve always thought a lot of her and hope to go for the Give Thanks Stakes at Cork in August.
