Sounds Of Spring produced a fine front-running performance to open his account in good style at Navan, giving trainer Ken Condon a quick double on the day.
The Dark Angel gelding took them along as he headed the majority of the runners on the near side in the maiden over an extended five furlong trip.
Shane Foley asked his mount for an effort passing the two pole and he stayed on strongly in the final furlong to post a three-and-three-quarter length win over Linus Larrabee
The 16/5 winner had been third at Limerick on his most recent outing 12 days ago.
“He did that well. Ken thought the visors woke him up the other morning,” said Foley.
“He was entitled to win that as I don't think it was the best race in the world. He winged the gates, was comfortable all the way and did it well.
“He enjoyed the ground, he had a nice run in Limerick on the type of ground. It's nice to get a bracket into him.”
The win moved Foley to within seven of Colin Keane in the race for the jockeys' title.
