Spin takes opener in style
Spin from the Aidan O’Brien stable justified favouritism when taking the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at the Curragh in good style.
Johnny Murtagh who made all aboard the 2/1 favourite kicked clear of her rivals over a furlong out and kept on strongly for a four and a half length win over stable mate Luxurious
Winning trainer O’Brien said afterwards: “She’s a nice staying filly, she likes the Curragh mile.”
“She’s really a mile, seven furlong filly, she stays well and is a good mover with no ground preference.”
