'Special' Arch Enemy grabs one over flights for Magee

Arch Enemy (15/2) availed of a lovely seam up the inner to make the best way home in Fairyhouse's novice handicap hurdle.
Eoin Walsh drove her to the front racing to the last, along that golden highway, and she held all the aces once she popped the final flight.
She was kept up to her work to see off Ragmans Corner (11/2) by a length and a-quarter. Wendell's Lass (18/1) was seven and a-half lengths further adrift in third.
This was her first success over flights to go with six on the Flat. She was actually last seen winning on the level at Leopardstown in October.
Patrick Magee said: “We would have been disappointed if she didn’t do that. She’s special to us as we don’t have anything in the yard like her.
“She’ll go to Leopardstown at Christmas and is definitely better around there than any other track in the country.
“There is a novice handicap and a mares' race and she will be entered in both.
“She is due to get a break at some stage before going back on the Flat and is very versatile ground wise.”
