Soohaad got into top gear inside the final furlong to land the spoils in the opening maiden at Gowran Park.
Newcomer Chois The Idea cut out the running and looked to have his rivals in trouble two furlongs from home.
Declan McDonogh got a good tune from the 7/4 favourite, however, to cut down the front-runner in the final 100 yards.
Kevin Prendergast 's charge recorded a length success with 16/1 shot Caonach running on well to claim the runner-up spot.
Chois The Idea (25/1) held on for third, while second favourite Sweet Mystery (3/1), who had held every chance 100 yards out, finished fourth.
The American-bred winner had shown promise on her sole start last season when sixth in a hot Leopardstown maiden.
"She doesn't show you a lot and only got going at the line. That's probably as short as she wants to go," said McDonogh afterwards.
