A dual winner on the all-weather when trained in Britain, Someone's Wish (4/1) made a winning start over fences in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Steeplechase.
It was a quick swing in fortune for Jack Kennedy who had been unseated from market leader Boston Jury at the start of the previous race.
The Dingle rider brought the Buratino gelding from mid-division to move into second jumping the last and the four-year-old got past Tuckmill up the hill to score by a length-and-a-quarter.
It was also a change of luck for Boston Jury's handler Gordon Elliott, who trains Someone's Wish for the Call It What You Like Syndicate and said: "It has been one of those days and it wasn't going right, but it is great to come out of here with a winner. We normally do, so it is nice to get a winner.
"He was just beaten here in June and he likes the good ground. They do a great job with the ground here and he jumped well, so I can't complain."
