Solo win for doubling up Rogers
Just five of the eight declared runners went to post for the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap at Dundalk tonight, with victory in the end going to the outsider of the field Solo Performer (10/1), who was completing a double for trainer Harry Rogers.
Ridden by Chris Hayes, the son of Distant Magic recorded a length and a half win, to deny runner-up Elizabeth Coffee a hat-trick of course wins.
Afterward Rogers said “Chris was very good on him and went at the right time.
“I thought there would be no pace in the race but they went a good gallop. The small field helped him, he’s been a good servant and there’s a mile and a half race here next week which he might come back for. “
The double was Rogers' second brace at the track in a week.
