Solo put in a good performance
The Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap saw a thrilling finish with the Harry Rogers trained Solo Performer getting up in the closing stages under Sean McGuinness.
Winning trainer Rogers said afterwards: “I’m delighted for Sean it’s great for him and that was his third winner.”
“She should have won the last day at Dundalk only I gave the jockey the wrong instructions. We will probably go for something similar and hopefully he’ll get through another one.”
“He has to have to good ground and he seems to like it around Dundalk so we’ll probably go back there.”
