Solaras shines in battle
20/1 shot Solaras Exhibition fought gamely to just deny Golden Starlet in the Girls Night Out at Clonmel Handicap.
The pair had it between them inside the final furlong after Solaras Exhibition had claimed the front-running favourite Reasons Unknown at the two pole.
Golden Starlet soon emerged as a danger and looked set to prevail, under hands and heels riding, but Shane Foley got more from his mount to prevail by the narrowest of margins at the line.
"We were a bit concerned about the ground," revealed winning trainer Seamus Fahey afterwards.
"We thought she wanted it softer and still think that. She stays well and will go for something similar. Then she'll go hurdling later in the year."
