Soft touch for Regulation while also defying absence!

The Sycamore Lodge Equine Hospital Maiden at The Curragh this evening went to the Michael Halford trained Regulation under stable jockey Shane Foley, making a winning return to action after 236 days off the track.
The son of Danehill Dancer, badly drawn in 13, raced prominently before moving to the front under two furlongs out, eventually staying on strongly for a three and a half lengths win over Paene Magnus
Afterwards Halford, not for the first time this year producing a winner from a sizeable layoff, stated “Regulation is a nice horse but was a bit slow to come to hand so we said we'd wait and give him more time.
“He's a laid back horse at home but he worked well early in the week. He went through the ground well today although I wouldn't have any worries about running him on good ground.
“Shane (Foley) said he got into the race so easy today and we'll step him up in class now.”
