Soap comes out best in Crazy Clean
Twice a course and distance scorer before, Soap Wars was favourite to make it three in the Crazy Clean Handicap and this the Bill Durkan-owned four-year-old did by short-heading main market rival, Empirical Power in the Crazy Clean Handicap.
The Johnny Murtagh-ridden Michael Halford-trained winner, had to survive a steward's enquiry but it was no surprise when he was confirmed the winner.
Soap Wars had twice finished behind Romeo's On Fire in the past but he got his revenge here with that one three parts of a length back in third.
The win of Soap Wars was a third of the campaign for Michael Halford. (EM)
