Snowcapped burst through on the rail close home to grab victory in the median auction fillies maiden at Gowran Park.
The Jessica Harrington-trained filly had finished mid-division on her sole outing last term and went to post a 9/1 shot on her return to action.
Her stablemate Paris Review cut out the running in the mile contest but was claimed inside the final furlong by 4/1 favourite Collage
Snowcapped was brave to come up the inner as that rival leaned in and put her head in front close home for a head success under Nathan Crosse.
Harrington said:- “She is out of Snow Pixie who is a sister of Snow Fairy.
“I’m not sure where we will go but she liked that cut in the ground and was brave up the inside.
“They are two nice fillies and the other filly (Paris Review, finished third) it probably wasn’t ideal being in front but she had a good draw and we couldn’t give it away.”
