The feature race of the day, The Bruce Betting Newbridge Gladness Stakes (Group 3) was won by the 9/4 favourite Mad About You under Pat Smullen in the colours of Moyglare Stud Farm.

Winning trainer Dermot Weld said afterwards, "She deserved to win a Group race. We will review where we'll go next with her the most logical step would be to come back here for The Ridgewood Pearl Stakes. We put blinkers on her today just to help her concentrate more."
