Byerley Babe accomplished what was expected of her to justify her position as a 2/7 shot for the Munster Supporters Club (Mares) Maiden Hurdle at Limerick.
The J P McManus-owned, Robert Tyner-trained hot-pot pulled out what was required on the run-in to easily beat Tudor Fashion and Casablanca Lily by a length and half a length.
Tyner said of the Philip Enright-ridden Byerley Babe: "I was a little concerned about the ground – the lads say it's very deep.
"I'm not sure if there's any such thing as an easy race on that ground but she was entitled to win like that.
"I've entered her for the Grade 1 at Fairyhouse. There might be a race for her at Punchestown as well – we'll talk to the owners." (TW & EM)
