The market principals dominated the seven furlong Listed Knockaire Stakes at Leopardstown as Smash Williams prevailed from Imaging
Imaging (11/4) grabbed a narrow lead approaching the final furlong but was soon tackled on the outside by Smash Williams (5/2f).
Both horses came under the whip well inside the final furlong and it was Smash Williams who got on top close home to score by a neck under Kevin Manning.
The pair were a length and three parts clear of third-placed True To Herself at 16/1.
Trainer Jim Bolger said: “He's consistent anyway and he's probably been a little unlucky here and there.
“Things didn't work out for him as a three-year-old but he's back on track now.”
