Slippers Madden sidelined with broken leg
Niall 'Slippers' Madden will be out of action for up to 4 weeks after fracturing his right leg following his fall from the Michael Cullen trained Ballydowd at Tralee on Wednesday.
Madden said, "I was at my own Doctor this morning and he told me that I have a crack in my right fibia and that I'll be out for about 4 to 5 weeks. It's still a bit sore but hopefully it'll heal quickly."
Amateur jockey Andrew Duff is another sidelined jockey after his fractured his shoulder blade and broke his nose following his fall from Sensible Jockser in the QR Handicap Hurdle at Tralee on Tuesday. He expects to be back race riding in about 3 to 4 weeks.
Robert Power resumes race riding this Sunday at Tipperary following his heavy fall from Carrick Dante at Navan on Satu day.
