Jolt sprang a 22/1 surprise for the Slatterys in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF 2-y-o Maiden.
Having tracked the leaders under Andrew Slattery, the Acclamation colt was ridden to lead over a furlong out and kept on well to beat fellow newcomer Air Commander by a length and a half.
Winning trainer Andy Slattery said: "He is a nice horse, but I thought he would improve for the run. We thought he was good enough to run in open maidens rather than auction ones. I’ll talk to the owners now and see where we go from here.
"David Halley and his wife Rachael own him and I don’t know if he’ll be sold now as they are sellers.
“Hopefully he’ll step up to stakes company and he'll stay a mile.
“I have 30 two-year-olds and I think they are a nice bunch. I think there is a couple of decent ones that haven’t run yet.”
