Andy Slattery and Ben Coen completed a double at Tipperary when taking the featured BetVictor Bet 5 Get 30 Offer Handicap with Cityman
The Slade Power gelding, a maiden winner at Dundalk back in February, was driven to the front well over a furlong out and stayed on strongly to score by three lengths at odds of 7/2. Bailly just prevented Slattery from recording a 1-2 when edging out Sunset Nova for the runner-up spot. Kurpany initiated the 30.5/1 double for Slattery and his nephew Coen when taking the opening juvenile auction maiden in decisive fashion.
Slattery said, "He was unlucky at the Curragh as he was stopped when coming with his run and was entitled to win that. My other horse today Sunset Nova was unlucky there as he missed the break and was back a long way.
"Cityman will have an entry in the Scurry now and six is his best trip. Both are good consistent horses and we'll try and get Sunset Nova's head in front now.
"Ben rode Cityman the last time and they have their own horses to ride so they were the riding arrangements."
