Six Silver Lane ground out victory in the mile handicap at Dundalk under a strong drive from Fran Berry.
The John Feane-trained gelding wore down front-runner Too Many Diamonds inside the final furlong and got his head in front close home for a half length success at odds of 9/1.
9/2 favourite Chatterton was three-parts-of-a-length back in third.
It was a seventh career victory for the Aussie Rules gelding and his fourth over course and distance.
"It was a bad race but sure he's won so it's great," said Feane.
"He was a bit unlucky last year. He was drawn wide when fourth at Galway and kept getting drawn out wide. He also ran well in Killarney, when he was mugged late on, and when third at Leopardstown.
"He's getting on now so hopefully the handicapper doesn't give him too much weight for that."
