Sivota impresses in Punchestown opener
The opening Martinstown Opportunity Series Final Handicap Hurdle was won in great style by the Willie Mullins trained Sivota who was returned the 7/2 favourite.
Emmett Mullins, who took the riding honours, cruised into contention at the third last and produced the winner to lead at the next. the pair quickened clear from the last to score by an impressive nine lengths.
Mullins stated afterwards: "I'm delighted for Emmett [Mullins] it was a great win. The drying ground was a big help to him."
"We will probably pursue the handicap hurlde route. The owners are from Roscommon so i'd imagine Galway will be on the agenda."
"He will mix it over hurdles and on the flat."
