Sinntaran off the mark in opener
Sinntaran produced a fine front-running performance to take the opener at Roscommon tonight.
Paddy Flood soon sent his mount to the lead and he kept on well down the home straight to record a four-and-a-half length win over Dawn Valentino
The Michael Halford trained gelding is a half-brother to Sinndar and the winning trainer said:-
"His first run over hurdles was good. He's just hard to settle. The plan wasn't neccessarily to make the running but I said to Paddy if he settled good but if not he was better off in front."
"He's effective on that ground so we'll keep him going and find a novice for him.
"I'm delighted for owner Paul McMahon, who bought him to ride in amateur events. Unfortunately he didn't stay in them. He's been a wonderful supporter of the yard."
