Just a nose split Path Of Silver (8s into 6s) and Laburnum Park at the end of the www.killarneyraces.ie Handicap and it was the former that came out on top for Dick Brabazon and Oisin Orr.
The successful Strategic Prince filly was equipped with cheek-pieces for the first time and here she was topping-off a decent course record as she'd finished second at the County Kerry venue twice in the past.
After the 'all out' success Brabazon said: "This jockey is going to give me heart failure. He's won two races for me by about half an inch.
"It's great to win with her as she's been trying long enough. You need everything to bounce for you in these races, and it just worked out today."
The Stewards fined Miss Elizabeth Doyle, trainer of Neds Gift €350 for failing to lodge the passport in time for this horse, which resulted in the horse being withdrawn from this race.
P.J. Smullen, rider of Sleepy Head trained by Patrick J.Flynn, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount cocked it's jaw and ran off the bend.
