Shreyas star of Bolger double
The Nijinsky Stakes at Leopardstown produced a terrrific finish with Shreyas just holding the flying finish of Fiery Lad in the Listed contest.
Jim Bolger 's charge had kicked on turning for home under Kevin Manning but was chased down by Fiery Lad in the final furlong.
The winning line came just in time for the 11/8f as Keagan Latham conjured a flashing late surge from the runner-up.
"That's the end of Listed races for her and she'll step up to Group company now and possibly step up in distance as well," said Bolger afterwards.
Newcomer Drive Time completed a double for Bolger when taking the concluding amateur rider maiden in the colours of former Tyrone star Peter Canavan.
Aodhagan Conlon had the four-year-old at the head of affairs from five furlongs out and the 14/1 shot stuck on well for pressure down the straight to beat Blackstairmountain by a length-and-a-quarter.
"We bought him at Fairyhouse with the intention of winning the sales race but the horse took time to come to himself," said Bolger.
"Last year Peter Canavan bought into him. The horse will stay well and the GPT at Galway could be a possible depending on how the handicapper treats him.
"He'll probably go jumping after that but nothing has been decided."
