Shep rounds up Geraghty treble
Barry Geraghty rounded off a very successful afternoon by completing a 59/1 treble aboard The Shepherd in the three miles Mobile Betting at paddypower.mobi Handicap Hurdle.
The 13/2 chance was produced to challenge at the final flight, where nearest rival Footy Facts made a mistake, and Geraghty's mount stayed on really well on the run-in to beat the aforementioned top-weight by five lengths.
Geraghty was on the mark earlier in the day with Big Zeb in the Grade 1 Dial-A-Bet Chase, while My Girl Salley proved an easy winner of the Listed Mares Hurdle.
“I'd say he's improved a bit since his last run. He'll be a lovely horse when he jumps a fence, and Barry gave him a fine ride,” said winning trainer Gordon Elliott.
