Shattered Love enjoys lovely confidence booster in T.A. Morris

Shattered Love (4/5 into 4/7) destroyed the opposition in the four runner Listed T.A. Morris Memorial Irish EBF Mares Chase at Clonmel.
Her Gordon Elliott-trained stable companion Tintangle also owned by Gigginstown House Stud, had to miss out owing to the going, but she’d surely have struggled to lay a glove on an impressive winner.
Mark Walsh is now two from two on the daughter of Yeats, having won a Grade One on her in the past.
Here she headed Listen Dear three out and she put her stamp on the extended two and a half miler from before the next.
Evidently happy back solely against her own sex, Shattered Love had no less than thirty four lengths to spare over Listen Dear at the line.
"She felt great today, travelled and jumped great everywhere. It was fairly plain sailing and she was well in at the weights and it would have been disappointing if she didn't win," reasoned Walsh.
"That drop down in grade will do her confidence the world of good and she had a tough year last year in all the big races. Hopefully that will do her confidence good and she can go forward from that.
"I took a lead, she jumped her way into it up the back and I left her there and she galloped all the way home. They'll have plenty fun with her for the season ahead."
