Apprentice jockey Tom Madden continues to impress and partnered his sixth winner of the season and his second in two days on Settle For Red winner of the Crilly Byrne & Fay Ltd Supporting Naas Hurling Apprentice Handicap at Naas today.
The son of Redback battled well in the closing stages for a head win over House Limit and afterwards winning trainer David Marnane stated "he came from England last year in mid-season and won in Dundalk and then we gave him a break. He's done well but I thought he might need it.
"He didn't cost too much and is owned by Mossy Casey who is a businessman from Cahir. Hopefully he'll run at the likes of Killarney and Galway over the summer."
Settle For Red was recording a third career win and a second since joining Marnane earlier this year.
