Turned over at 5/6 when third in a division of the maiden handicap at Bellewstown on Thursday, Macinamillion (1/1) rewarded favourite backers who kept the faith when returning to 'The Hill' to win the first division of the Dore & Co. Solicitors Handicap.
Down in trip by a couple of furlongs, Wayne Hassett's mount made the running until headed briefly by No Trouble over a furlong out but he dug in and was soon back in front, going away to beat that rival by two and three quarter lengths.
Owned by Oak Lodge Farm Ltd, the four-year-old is trained by Gavin Cromwell who observed: "I suppose it helps that we are only down the road from here.
"He was out in the paddock all day today and he looked a picture.
"You never know really, you are just relying on trust and he seemed to be fine.
"He battled really hard. The one thing I noted last night was that Gary (Carroll) couldn't pull him up until the bottom of the back straight. He stayed going really well. It did help my decision.
"I was keen enough to go forward with him and make it as much of a test as it was.
"He'll mix and match, please God there are still hurdles races with him.
"He's physically a much stronger horse than he was last year."
