In the Sea The Stars colours of Christopher Tsui, Seas Of Wells was sent off favourite to make a winning bow in the concluding Congratulations Karoline & Neil Wright On Your Wedding Today Maiden and duly accomplished what was expected of her for trainer John Oxx and rider Declan McDonogh at the Curragh.

The Dansili filly, a 310,000 guineas yearling from the family of Damson, is pacey, and she put her stamp on this six furlong contest with a nice change of gear from over a furlong out. Chance To Dance a gelded four-year-old son of Teofilo, with the benefit of a run, saw out his race well to bear down on Seas Of Wells in the closing stages but he was never going to get there and was half a length adrift at the line.

Oxx explained: "She's a professional little thing – she's nicely bred but she's very small and you'd put her in your pocket.

"She's sharp and I don't know if she'll want any further than that.

"We'll step her up now and see if we can get some black-type and she'll be a mating for Sea The Stars down the line.

"She works like she's a sprinter."

Meanwhile of My Titania, who runs for the same owner and had to miss yesterday's Newmarket 1000 Guineas, the Currabeg handler revealed: "There wasn't much wrong with her but there was enough to stop her from running in a Group 1 race.

"She's cantering away and eating up well.

"Hopefully she'll be there in three weeks (Irish 1000 Guineas). Hopefully we get some nice ground too." (AM & EM)
