Seaneen causes Downpatrick shock
Seaneen Mac Ri went into the Ballynoe (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race with a most unpromising set of form figures but she left those efforts well behind to prevail under Danny Fitzsimmons at Downpatrick.
The Alderbrook mare came home really well from off the pace to get up and beat Bless N'Ject and Mattara by a length and a length and a quarter.
Jerry Cosgrave trains Seaneen Mac Ri at Banbridge and he said: "I'm very pleased with her. She didn't quite get home in point-to-points and as she is quite small I think the point-to-points scared her a bit.
"I have no immediate plans for her."
