Sea The Sunset posted a five-length victory in the hands of Shane Fitzgerald in the Racing TV Handicap Hurdle at Downpatrick.
John Morrison 's 12/1 shot raced in third and improved a place before the penultimate flight.
He grabbed the lead before the last and powered up the hill for a comfortable success. Skip Mahler (7/2) could make no impression in second, but was six lengths clear of 11/4 favourite Fassbender
Fitzgerald said: "He did it very well, he jumped super the whole way.
"He had a good run in Navan the last day and is a nice horse going forward.
"I travelled away well - Danny (Mullins on Monoxide went a good gallop but, to be fair, he toughed it out and was good.
"I think so (go on soft ground during the winter), but we'll see what John says himself."
