Scholastic adds another string to her bow

The versatile Scholastic gained her first win on the all-weather when running out a cosy winner of the two-mile handicap at Dundalk.
Joseph O'Brien 's charge had won three on the turf on the Flat and had also been successful over hurdles.
The Zoffany filly had been runner-up at this venue last month when chasing home Hannon in a similar contest.
Milkey Sheehy gave her a confident ride tonight as she travelled well to lead turning for home.
The 4/1 shot picked up well inside the final furlong and held the late charge of Jake Peter by a length-and-a-quarter.
Sheehy said afterwards:- “She jumped smart and I was further forward than I would have liked but she travelled in my hands the whole way. She quickened nicely and was idling in front.
“She had good form over hurdles and is versatile. Joseph brought her back to the Flat and that’s two good runs now over two miles. Hopefully there is another one in her.”
