Schelm does the job in style
Schelm was given a confident vote in advance of the J & B O'Sullivan Builders Ltd. Steeplechase by his trainer Ronnie O'Leary and the eight-year-old didn't let his handler down when scoring by three lengths under David Casey (gaining his third win on the German-bred).
The 3/1 chance led before the last from Killenaule Boy and he was driven out on the run-in to easily account for that rival with favourite Tribes And Banner two lengths back in third.
O'Leary said of Paul Hillis' gelding: "He was brilliant and we're chuffed with him. He jumped like a buck. We were afraid of the rain but it came too late to do any damage.
"We've had some great days out of him. He has given us a lot of fun."
