The Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Race at Cork today attracted just four runners with victory in the end going to Scatty Cat for trainer Peter McCreevy and jockey Michael Hussey.
Hussey, on his only ride today and who partnered his first winner for Champion Trainer Aidan O'Brien last night at Dundalk, moved the daughter of One Cool Cat to the front two furlongs out and the pair kept going to eventually defeat Red Queen
McCreevy was absent but his representative Adrian Keatley mentioned “the tongue tie made a big difference to Scatty Cat today.”
Hussey added “she wasn't beaten that far in a Group 3 the last day but idled a bit in front today and there's plenty of improvement in her.”
The winner is owned by the All For The Crack Syndicate, associated with St Laurence's GAA Club, near Athy, Co Kildare.
