The final race of the five-day Killarney festival, the Christy Lucey Transport Limited Mares (Pro/Am) Flat Race, was won by odds-on favourite Saylavee
The 8/13 chance, a winner at Clonmel in May, ran freely under Patrick Mullins and had a brief spell in the lead at halfway before her rider managed to get her back in behind the leaders.
She cruised into the lead again three furlongs out but Mullins had to get after her in the closing stages to repel the challenge of newcomer Champagne Fame by a length and a half.
The winning rider said: "She was a bit keen early on and that told in the last furlong but she has plenty class to carry a winners' penalty.
"She'll jump no problem and I don't know if Willie wants to go for a black-type bumper or not but it might be worth chancing her in one."
