Sasta gained a second career win at Gowran today as the Jim Bolger trained, homebred filly landed the MansionBet Apprentice Handicap under jockey Willie Byrne.
Jockey Byrne was today partnering his 13th career winner on the daughter of Bolger's Classic winner Dawn Approach and following the race Bolger's travelling head man Ger Flynn later said “she’s a progressive filly and that ground is good for her. She’s definitely better with an ease.
“We were hoping that it wasn’t gone too quick on her with all the dry weather.
“It’s great for Willie to get a winner on the board with Luke (McAteer) riding all the winners!”
