Salsify took the concluding Demesne Hunters Chase in good style at Clonmel, running out a convincing winner under Ciaran Fennessy.

The 12/1 shot was sent clear before the last and kept on strongly to record a 12-length victory over that rival.

"He won a point-to-point at Lisronagh two runs ago and last time in a winners' of two at Lisgoold was in front when he fell at the last," revealed Sweeney afterwards.
