After a couple of beaten favourites earlier it came right for Ballydoyle and Seamie Heffernan in race three at Thurles, Salsa winning the Racing Again October 22nd Maiden.
Salsa was towards the rear and niggled along early.
Soon taking up a position in mid-division, the Galileo filly made progress to lead after two furlongs.
Ridden and pressed over two furlongs out, Salsa was joined a furlong and a half out.
From there she kept on well under pressure, asserting in the last fifty yards to beat Ballinlough Gale by half a length.
"The outside draw wasn't a help but she has a fair engine and she has been running well and up to her mark,” said Heffernan.
"She is a grand filly and it was an important win; no doubt she'll breed a Classic one!"
