Following on from Voix Des Tiep earlier, Willie Mullins doubled his score at Gowran with Burrows Saint (9/10) in the Holden Fleet Management Beginners Chase.
Voix Des Tiep was ridden by David Mullins in race two, but it was championship leader Paul Townend (now leads Rachael Blackmore by 8 - 92 plays 84) that did the steering on Burrows Saint.
Burrows Saint made a mistake two out himself, but he wasn't long about pouncing on the error of Rathnure Rebel at the last, going on for an eight and a half length win.
Unfortunately for winning connections, Mullins and owners Susannah and Rich Ricci, their Catwells pulled up sharply in the back straight.
“He likes that sort of ground and he can go out in trip," stated Mullins.
ohn J Fitzpatrick, rider of You Can't Catch Me trained by Kieran Purcell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a noise in the closing stages.
D.J. Mullins, rider of Catwells (FR) trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount pulled up lame.
