Trainer Jessica Harrington's excellent form continued with a success for Sablonne at Naas today, as the Shane Foley-partnered winner landed the ARKequine Derbymed Handicap for owner Kirsten Rausing.
The daughter of Dark Angel was a clear leader from halfway and in the final furlong battled well for an all-out neck win over Andreas Vesalius
Harrington, whose Foley-partnered Magical Lagoon landed the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot last Thursday, reported “she was a bit ring rusty in the Curragh and those sprinters have to be sharp. She was sharp out of the stalls today and when the other horse (Andreas Vesalius) came to her she stayed on great.
“She has a super attitude. She’ll probably go for another handicap and then I’d like to get some black type with her.”
