Arganil from the Kevin Ryan stable showed great battling qualities after he landed the feature race on this evening’s card, the Mercury Stakes Listed Race in the hands of Keagan Latham.

Latham hit the front from under two furlongs from home and kept on inside the final furlong to post a length victory over 11/4 favourite Rain Delayed

Winning jockey Latham said afterwards: “He jumped off a bit sluggish but I was able to give him a breather on the bend.”

“When I asked him he took me the whole way to the line.”
