Russell lands feature
The feature race of the day The Dawn Milk Handicap Chase was won by Stephen Ryan's charge Keys Pride with Davy Russell doing the steering for owner Michael Martin.
Russell raced his mount in rear and crept into the race halfway and improved to challenge approaching 2 out and kept on to win by 2 lengths holding off Patrick Neville's Nine O
Stephen Ryan said afterwards, "She is a serious mare, we were a little worried about the ground ideally she would prefer good ground. I was delighted with the ride Davy gave her, he switched her off and came with one run. She has a great turn of pace. We'll go for The Dennys Gold Medal Chase at the re-scheduled Tralee meeting."
