Run For Oscar scooted away from his rivals to land the M.J. Carroll ARRO Handicap Hurdle at Listowel.
Jack Foley sent him into the lead approaching the penultimate flight and the pair increased their margin at the last.
Run For Oscar went on by three lengths to reward favourite backers at 5/1. This supplemented a handicap hurdle victory in Killarney last month.
Charles Byrnes, saddling his first domestic winner since resuming training after a six-month ban, said: "He gave him a good ride, held him up three quarters of the way back and that was the plan, to come there at the second last. It worked out for once.
"They went a really good gallop and, this week, it seemed to suit to come from off the pace here as the ground is quite dead.
"He won well, we had a good claimer up and taking seven pounds off gives you a chance in these type of races. I'd say Jack won't be claiming for too long.
"I'm delighted for the owners and it is brilliant to have a winner here, especially with all my local trainers having winners this week."
