Royal Blood puts rivals to sword
The Philip Dempsey trained Royal Blood recorded his second career winner, both at today's venue, when taking the Twilight Evening Live Music 18th June Handicap Chase at Limerick, under Niall Madden.
Madden led from halfway on the son of Flemensfirth, and although strongly pressed from the final fence by Amy's Song battled well for an all out head win.
Afterwards Dempsey reported “Royal Blood won a hunters' chase here, is tough and loves that faster ground – he hops off it! We'll aim him at the Conyngham Cup at Punchestown next, in two weeks time.”
