The Henry de Bromhead-trained Rosalys justified favouritism in the Broadstreet Bar & Grill Rated Novice Hurdle, as she comfortably accounted for 10-rivals.

Successful in a Huntingdon bumper on debut when in the care of Emma Lavelle, the Workforce bay was placed on recent starts at Cork and Punchestown respectively.

Sent off the market leader at 10/3, the Jayne McGivern-owned five-year-old was kept to the outer by Rachael Blackmore.

Always prominent, she improved into a share of the lead after three out and gained a narrow advantage on the run to the penultimate obstacle.

Kept up to her work on the run-in, the 109-rated victor eventually came home two-and-a-quarter lengths to the good, with Miners Bridge (11/1) filling the runner-up spot.

A course winner in May, Jumping Susie (5/1) was another length-and-three-quarters back in third for the double seeking John McConnell.

"She's put in some good runs, so it was great to get her off the mark there," Blackmore commented.

"She ran really well at Punchestown, and she's a real galloping type, and galloped all the way to the line.

"Hopefully now she's on the right track and she'll produce a bit more for us. She's consistent, and she definitely has a preference for nicer ground, so this is her time to shine."

STEWARDS REPORTS

The Raceday Stewards fined Eoin Griffin, trainer E65 for failing to fit the declared cheekpieces to Hidalgo Des Mottes (FR), prior to entering the parade ring.

Owing to low-lying sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle 4 to be omitted from this race.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Lightkeeper, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

J.W. Kennedy, rider of Lightkeeper, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

D.E. Mullins, rider of Glendine Billy, trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stumbled independently the first time down the hill and jumped deliberately.
