Idyllic Acrylic put her experience to good use when getting off the mark at the seventh time of asking in the Fairyhouse For Club Fundraisers Median Auction Maiden.
In common with the 5.45 race there was more than one significant mover in the market here, with Michael O'Callaghan's newcomer Heavy Artillery finding a starting price of 5/1 having opened at 16/1. He could manage no better than eleventh place after being slowly away.
Meanwhile up front the Mark Roper-trained and Seamie Heffernan-ridden Idyllic Acrylic chased the leaders and she was pushed along in third two furlongs out.
Ridden to lead a furlong and a half out, the Art Connoisseur filly stayed on well under pressure in the final furlong to beat Dreaming Of Gold by two and a half lengths.
Roper said on the Michael Keogh-owned three-year-old: "Seamie said she's very genuine and she tried her heart out there. There is a Premier Handicap coming up at the Curragh (on June 11) over five (furlongs) and if it got soft it might be worth making an entry."
S.B. Kelly, rider of Heavy Artillery (GB) trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran green.
